We are thrilled to share that the workshop on “Outcome Based Education” organized by the Center for Faculty Development, Dr. N.G.P. Arts & Science College in association with ipsr solutions limited was a tremendous success! We had an incredible turnout of around 340 faculty members participating in this Faculty Development Program.
The event was held on 04.03.2023, from 09.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m. at Kambar Arangam, Dr. N.G.P. Arts & Science College and the workshop aimed to enhance the faculty’s knowledge and skills in implementing outcome-based education practices effectively. Dr. Mendus Jacob, Professor & Director, MCA, Marian College, Kuttikkanam, and M.D & CEO – ipsr solutions limited, and Dr. Sunil Job, Adjunct Faculty, Marian College, Kuttikkanam, were the resource persons for the event.
The workshop consisted of three informative sessions, with the first session being on Bloom’s Taxonomy by Dr. Sunil Job. The session provided an in-depth understanding of the taxonomy and its relevance to outcome-based education.
The second session was on the architecture of OBE and the design of outcomes, also by Dr. Sunil Job. The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the OBE framework and how to design effective learning outcomes for their courses. The resource person explained the process of designing outcomes and how it can be aligned with the college’s objectives.
The third session was on attainment calculation and useful analytics for accreditation by Dr. Mendus Jacob. The session provided insights into the attainment calculation process and how to use analytics effectively to assess the effectiveness of outcome-based education practices.
Overall, the workshop provided the faculty members with an opportunity to enhance their teaching skills, engage with their peers, and gain a better understanding of outcome-based education practices.
In addition to the successful Outcome Based Education workshop, we will be providing the participants of the Outcome Based Education workshop with exclusive LMS access. With this, they can continue to develop their skills and knowledge in implementing outcome-based education practices through engaging in hands-on activities.
