The State Assessment and Accreditation Centre (SAAC), the first State-level accreditation agency in the country, has been operationalised for higher education institutions in Kerala. Modelled on the lines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the agency incorporates State-specific parameters.
