A former Director of the School of Applicable Mathematics, MG University, Dr Mendus Jacob is an Academician and an Entrepreneur with 30+ years of experience and a well-known resource person for FDPs in OBE, NEP and Accreditation.
He is also the MD & CEO of ipsr solutions limited – an IT Company supporting Higher Education Institutes in implementing Outcome Based Education and Innovative Teaching-Learning and Assessment strategies.
Adjunct Faculty, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) and Chief of Academics, ipsr solutions limited.
Dr Sunil Job with 30+ years of experience in teaching and 10+ years in Corporate Consultancy is an Academician well-versed in OBE and a resource person for National Conferences at FDPs.
An Associate Professor at MG University, College of Teacher Education since 1999, he has served as Visiting Team Member of NCTE for Grant of Recognition and as a resource person for the Affiliation Renewal Committee of MG University. Dr Sunil has served as a resource person for several FDPs in OBE, Data Science, E-Learning etc.

Former Chief Operating Officer at Tata Motors and a Product Design Specialist in automobiles, consumer electronics, home appliances, computers and telecommunications, Dr Suresh Namboothiri has over 30 years of industry experience. He has designed and developed 200+ products and worked with engineers from 8 countries.
Currently, the Director of Espoir Technologies Pune, Dr Suresh is a highly sought-after professional interviewer for senior positions in Engineering and Management. He has served as a resource person for FDPs on OBE, Critical and Creative Thinking etc.

FDP Day 1 (10 May 2023)
The Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Nirmala College Muvattupuzha in association with The Kerala State Higher Education Council commenced at 7.00 PM on 10 May 2023.
The Welcome Note was delivered by Dr Thomas KV, Principal, Nirmala College, Muvattupuzha.
The Inaugural Address for the programme was given by Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chairman of KSHEC. Dr Rajan Gurukkal is the former Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and a leading Scientist, Historian, Professor & writer who has written various books and received numerous awards for his works.
Dr Rajan Varghese, Member Secretary of KSHEC delivered the Presidential Address during the event. A former Pro Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Dr Rajan Varghese has played a key role in the education sector of Kerala.
The Key Note Address of the programme was given by Dr Suresh Mony, Advisor, Higher Education Institutions, Leadership Coach and Member of PanIIT Council. Having skills in Strategy, Project Management and Risk Management, Dr Suresh Mony holds a Doctorate from the University of Mumbai and a BTech from IIT Madras. He also gave a presentation on Quality in Higher Education to the participants.
Rev Dr Msgr Pius Malekandathil, Manager of Nirmala College, and Manager of Colleges of Corporate Educational Agencies, Diocese of Kothamangalam gave the Managerial Address.
The Introduction Speech was delivered by Dr Mendus Jacob, Professor & Director, MCA, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) and MD & CEO of ipsr solutions limited.
Dr Jayashankaran, former Vice Chancellor, Kanchi University and an academician with over 50 years of experience addressed the participants. Dr Jayashankar is a mentor for Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Marian College Kuttikanam Autonomous, and many other educational institutions.
The word of thanks was delivered by Dr Sony Kuriakose, Coordinator, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Nirmala College Muvattupuzha.

Inaugural Ceremony – National Level Online Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education
Day 2: 11 May 2023
The second day started with a session on Bloom’s Taxonomy by Dr Sunil Job KA, Adjunct Faculty, Marian College Kuttikanam, Autonomous and Chief of Academics, ipsr solutions limited.
A Lesson Activity based on Bloom’s Taxonomy where3 videos consisting of 5 questions each were assigned to the participants to get a better understanding of the topic.
A Task on Question Paper Analysis on the Basis of Bloom’s Taxonomy was also assigned on the second day.
Day 3: 12 May 2023
The third day was highlighted by the informative session ‘Introduction to OBE, Architecture of OBE and Outcomes’ by Dr Sunil Job KA.
A Workshop Activity ‘Course Outcome and Quality Check’ where the participants have to frame a set of quality course outcomes related to a course or to evaluate the course outcome based on four quality criteria. They also need to evaluate the work of a few others based on the four quality checks and submit the scores.
Day 4: 13 May 2023
Dr Sunil Job KA conducted the informative session ‘Assessment Designs and Mapping of Outcome’ on day 4.
After completion of the session, the Task, ‘Formulation of Assessment Questions with Respect to a Course Outcome and Finding the Mapping Strength’ was assigned to the participants where they need to write the assessment questions from the topic that addresses the Course Outcomes and find its mapping strength to the selected Course Outcome.
Day 5: 15 May 2023
The fifth day began with the session ‘The Underlying Threads of Outcome Based Education’ by Dr Suresh Namboothiri, founder Member of Espoir Technologies Pune, former Chief Operating Officer at Tata Motors and a Product Design Specialist.
Day 6: 16 May 2023
The highlight of day 6 was the session ‘Calculation of Attainment in OBE Analysis Report for Accreditation’ by Dr Mendus Jacob, Professor & Director, MCA, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) and MD & CEO of ipsr solutions limited.
After the session, Two Tasks, the ‘CO Computation Prototype Model’ and ‘Submit an Article on Innovative Practices’ were assigned to the participants. The first task helps the participants to familiarize themselves with the automated CO Calculation and Analysis with respect to a set target and in the second, the participants can share either a full case study or an abstract about the innovative practices that he/she has adopted in any domains of teaching and learning related activities.
Day 7: 17 May 2023
The seventh day started with another informative session on ‘Best Practices in Implementing OBE’ by Dr Mendus Jacob.
Valedictory function followed after the conclusion of the session by Dr Mendus Jacob.

In the Valedictory function which followed, Rev Dr Msgr Pius Malekandathil, Manager of Nirmala College, and Manager of Colleges of Corporate Educational Agencies, Diocese of Kothamangalam, gave the Valedictory Remarks.
