This national-level online FDP on OBE was organized by the IQAC of Auxilium College (Autonomous), Vellore in association with ipsr solutions limited, Kottayam. A six-day ( November 22 -November 27, 2021) FDP session was delivered through live webinars and also through hands-on activities through Learning Management Portal (LMS). There were around 1086+ participants registered from 250+ colleges, all around India and union territories.
On completion of this FDP, the faculty members will be able to:
Day one of FDP began with an inaugural ceremony on 22nd, November 3:30 pm, followed by introductory remarks by Dr. Mendus Jacob, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., MIoD, M.D & C.E.O – IPSR & Valin Technologies, U.K., Director – MCA, Marian College, Kuttikkanam (Autonomous), Former Director of School of Applicable Mathematics, M.G. University. Academician and Entrepreneur with 30+ years of experience, and then a session on Learning Domains by Dr. Sunil Job K.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.Phil, Ph.D., RHCE Chief of Academic Solutions – IPSR, Former College Principal and an OBESpecialist, Blogger and Resource person for National conferences. An academician with 25+ years of experience
On day 2 and day 3 Introduction to OBE and Formulation of Outcomes and Assessment Design and Mapping Outcomes Sessions were taken by Dr. Sunil Job K.A., K.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.Phil, Ph.D., RHCE Chief of Academic Solutions – IPSR, Former College Principal and an OBESpecialist, Blogger and Resource person for National conferences. An academician with 25+ years of experience.
A session on OBE – the underlying threads, was taken by Mr. Suresh Namboothiri, M.Tech, MBA Founder member of the education innovation company – Espoir Technologies, Product development specialist with 30+ years of experience, Sought after interviewer for senior positions of leading companies, Former COO, Tata Motors and Part of the team that developed India’s first car – Tata Indica and credited with designing and developing India’s first Microwave oven, Washing Machine, No-frost Refrigerator, etc.
A session on Calculation of Attainment in OBE by Dr. Mendus Jacob, followed by a session on OBE Analytics Reports and Tools for accred was taken by Mr/Sijo Thomas, MCA, MPhil, Ph. D Scholar Consultant Software Architect. Professional with 10+ years of experience in the Education and IT Industry and Expertise in developing Academic Solution products implementing cutting-edge technologies like Machine Learning and AI.
A session by Dr.Mendus Jacob was taken on OBE – the Road Ahead, followed by the valedictory ceremony.
Also by the end of the FDP, A poll on the best features of FDP was asked through Mentimeter. And most in the first position most of them liked the entire FDP Session, the way it was organized. Second, most liked was the live sessions and then the contents on LMS and tasks and assignments
