An Academician well-versed in OBE and a resource person for National Conferences at FDPs, Dr Sunil Job has 30+ years of experience in teaching and 10+ years in Corporate Consultancy. An Associate Professor at MG University, College of Teacher Education since 1999, he has served as Visiting Team Member of NCTE for Grant of Recognition and as a resource person for the Affiliation Renewal Committee of MG University. Dr Sunil has served as a resource person for several FDPs in OBE, Data Science, E-Learning etc.

A Product Design Specialist in automobiles, consumer electronics, home appliances, computers and telecommunications with 30+ years of industry experience, Dr Suresh Namboothiri was the Chief Operating Officer at Tata Motors. He has designed and developed 200+ products and worked with engineers from 8 countries. Dr Suresh is a highly sought-after professional interviewer for senior positions in Engineering and Management. Currently the Director of Espoir Technologies Pune, he has served as a resource person for FDPs on the topics of OBE, Critical and Creative Thinking etc.

FDP – Day 1 (8 March 2023)
The first day of the Online Faculty Development Programme on Outcome Based Education jointly organised by St James College of Nursing and St James College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Chalakudy commenced at 7.00 PM on 8 March 2023.
Dr Rajasree RS, Dean and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kerala University of Health Sciences delivered a Special Message during the inaugural ceremony of the programme in the absence of Dr Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chairman, Kerala State Higher Education Council, Dr Rajan Varghese, Member Secretary, Kerala State Higher Education Council and Dr Mohan Kunnuummal, Vice-Chancellor, Kerala University, who couldn’t attend the function due to the last-minute change in their programme schedule.
Dr Rajasree has 25 + years of service as a faculty and has done her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from MG University Kottayam. She holds many Research Papers as her credit and is a prominent Resource Person for many National Level Seminars and Symposiums.

A task on ‘Question Paper Analysis Based on Bloom’s Taxonomy’ was assigned to understand the depth of knowledge the participants had acquired from the session.
Day 2 (9 March)
Introduction to OBE, Architecture to OBE and Outcomes – Live session on day 2 by Dr Sunil Job KA.
A Workshop activity ‘Course Outcome and Quality Check’ was assigned to the participants as a task which is designed for formatting a set of quality Course Outcomes related to a course of the participant’s interest or to evaluate the course outcome that has already been prepared based on four quality criteria.
DAY 3 (10 March)
Dr Suresh Namboothiri, a Product Development Specialist and sought-after interviewer for top-level management positions of leading companies and former COO- of Tata Motors was the resource person of day 3 with the topic ‘The Underlying Threads of OBE’.

Day 4 (11 March)
The fourth day of the session started with an interesting and informative discussion by Dr Sunil Job KA, Adjunct Faculty, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) and Chief of Academics, ipsr solutions limited on the topic Assessment Design and Mapping of Outcomes.
Assignment Design and Mapping of Outcomes – Live Session on day 4 by Dr Sunil Job KA.
A task on ‘Formulation of Assessment Questions with Respect to a Course Outcome and Finding the Mapping Strength’ was assigned to the participants where they write assessment questions from the topic that addresses the course outcome at the level provided in the table.
Day 5 (14 March)
The fifth day’s educational session was taken by Dr Mendus Jacob, Professor & Director, MCA, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) on Calculation of Attainment in OBE, Analytics Reports For Accreditation.
A task on the ‘CO Computation Prototype model’ was assigned on day 5 to familiarize themselves with the automated CO Calculation and Analysis with respect to the set target.
A second task ‘Innovative Practices in Teaching and Learning for Publishing Online’ was also provided as an optional task.
Day 6 (15 March)
The sixth-day educational session based on the topic ‘Best Practices in Implementing OBE’ was conducted by Dr Mendus Jacob, Professor & Director, MCA, Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous).

Valedictory Function:
The Valedictory function followed the educational session by Dr Mendus Jacob. Dr Rajan Gurukkal, Former Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and Vice Chairman of Kerala State Higher Education Council addressed the participants. Dr Rajan Gurukkal is a Visiting Professor at, Centre of Contemporary Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and a leading Indian Social Scientist, Historian, Professor and Writer. He has written many books and articles and received many awards for his work. Gurukkal is generally considered a ‘left-of-centre Historian’ by political analysts. He had held the Chair of Professor and Director, at the School of Social Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University.
