A Two-Day National-Level Workshop on Research Methodology and Applications of Generative AI in Research, organized by the PG Department of Computer Science, Sacred Heart College, Chalakudy (Autonomous), in association with The Kerala State Higher Education Council, was successfully conducted on 21st and 22nd March 2025 at the Sacred Heart College campus.
The workshop aimed to equip faculty members and researchers with a deep understanding of research methodologies and the applications of Generative AI in academic research. The event provided participants with hands-on exposure to cutting-edge AI-driven tools, enhancing their research capabilities in the digital era.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by the organizing team, followed by the formal inauguration by distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Rajan Gurukkal, Vice Chairman, KSHEC, and Dr. Rajan Varughese, Member Secretary, KSHEC. Their insights set the tone for an intellectually enriching workshop.
The presence of esteemed academic leaders such as Pro. (Dr.) Reena Ittyachan, Principal, Sacred Heart College Chalakudy, Dr. V Neetha, IQAC Coordinator & HOD, Zoology, Sacred Heart College Chalakudy, and Dr. Sr. Mini T.V, Dean of Research & HOD, Computer Science, Sacred Heart College further added to the significance of the event.
The workshop featured Dr. Suresh Namboothiri, a Founder Member of Espoir Technologies, Pune, as the primary resource person. With over 30 years of experience in product development and a distinguished career that includes serving as the former COO of Tata Motors and contributing to the development of India’s first car – Tata Indica, Dr. Namboothiri shared valuable insights into research methodologies and the role of Generative AI in enhancing academic and industrial research.
