National-Level Workshop on Demystifying OBE hosted by RVS College of Arts and Science, Sulur Coimbatore

The One-Day National-Level Workshop on Demystifying Outcome-Based Education (OBE), organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Curriculum Development Cell (CDC) of RVS College of Arts and Science in collaboration with ipsr solutions limited, was held on 6th December 2024 at the C.K. Prahalad Hall, Sulur Campus.

The event aimed to provide educators with a clear understanding of Outcome-Based Education and its implementation in academic settings. Faculty members from universities and educational institutions participated enthusiastically, making the workshop a grand success.

The workshop brought together a blend of distinguished experts and enthusiastic participants to discuss innovative approaches and practical methods for implementing OBE effectively.

Inauguration and Welcome Address

The workshop began with a warm welcome to all attendees by the organizing team, followed by an inspiring inauguration ceremony.

The guests emphasized the importance of OBE in revolutionizing education and aligning academic goals with measurable outcomes to meet modern educational standards.

The session was led by Dr. Mendus Jacob, a prominent figure in education and technology. His expertise provided a comprehensive framework for understanding OBE, its benefits, and its integration into institutional curricula.

2. Importance of OBE in improving educational quality and achieving accreditation goals.
3. Designing Course Outcomes (COs) aligned with Program Outcomes (POs).
4. Practical strategies for implementing OBE across diverse disciplines.

Participation Highlights

The workshop witnessed the active participation of over 80+ attendees, including faculty members from 10 educational institutions. Participants came from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Karnataka, bringing diverse perspectives and contributing to vibrant discussions and collaborative learning throughout the sessions. Discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, and collaborative activities enriched the learning experience.

Outcomes of the Workshop

The workshop achieved the following objectives:
